Ice skating last night was an embarrassment.  Sure, the ice was in pretty crappy condition, but I had some serious trouble.  My legs are weak, I didn't have confidence in my balance, and I fell 3 times after hitting cracks in the ice.  I'd hit ice cracks last winter, but was always strong enough and coordinated enough to recover and keep going.  ( Read more... )

I know this doesn't make me very popular, but I like the cold, and I can't wait until it's been cold enough long enough that they open up the ice rinks so I can go ice skating.

Transformers, Michael Bay's abomination of a movie, was utter crap.  There's more I could say about it, but it wasn't even worth the words I've devoted to it in this post.

Last night when I went to feed our short tailed opossum, Koopa, I noticed that her right eye has a SERIOUS cataract on it, making it completely white.  It happened so suddenly.  When I fed her on Friday, both eyes looked normal, but last night, it was a milky white.  I fear that she's drawing to the end of her life.  She hasn't been as sure-footed ( Read more... )

I've been rocking out on my accordion since I got it on Sept. 10th.  Ever since that time, I've noticed that the G bass button was kind of stiff, and tooking a little more effort to push in.  I'd read that on new accordions it often just takes some time to 'break in' the bass buttons.
