Today was the last day of camp, and I'm glad it's over. I think the kids had a good time, though I'm not sure they really fully grasp the magnitude of the task that lies before them. Today was the first day of ACE Camp (better known as Academic Team Camp...better still known as Nerd Camp), and I must say I stepped up to my coachly duties quite well. I went back out to the apartment today with my surrogate mom, Sheila, and it's awesome. She was in love with it instantly! I like it even more now than I did yesterday. The landlord is going to pull the ad out of the paper, and I'm going to meet him over there, with Dad, next Sunday to I guess seal the deal. And it's above a gym! I can wake up ( Read more... )

Life has changed a bit, having a roommate and all. Things are good, and it's great to have Meredith here. My only problem is that I have to change my late-night computer hours. Can't write long because I have to let my roommate go to bed (my computer is in her room...long story). But it's been killing me that I haven't been able to write. Much more to come later, including my phone call from Iraq, chats with old friends, a new outlook on life, and new music to check out....
