This particular type - Schubert Chokecherry - is very commonly used in landscaping because of its attractive purple foliage... not to mention fairly compact size and that chokecherries in general are very hardy plants that are native to just about everywhere in North America.

I have high hopes! I am sure it can be arranged that you are around when one of the (probably only 10-12 bottles) is opened. :) I must also save one for my parents' anniversary, as it turns out (unbeknownst to me at the time) they were picked on my parents' anniversary... when I called my mom for a jelly recipe she was excited that I called for her anniversary. Doh!
