I am scared today. Scared, and inexpressably sad.

I stayed up most of the night watching the election results roll in. I had cast my ballot at the early-voting polls. And every forecast said that Hillary was supposed to win, so I went into the evening optimistic.

Yeah, that didn't last long.

I am so damn tired of roommates it's not even funny. Two days ago, I find the toilet paper on the rack empty, with a just-started roll sitting on top of the garbage can.  Yesterday, I come home to an unflushed toilet full of poop and toilet paper; sugar spilled on the counter and not wiped up; and unrinsed, dirty tupperware sealed on the counter ( Read more... )

...and now that the steri-strips from the surgery have finally come off (they looked like that tape, similar to packing tape, that's mostly clear with little fiber-y bits running through), I have franken-boobie. Got to take the bandages off and have a shower yesterday. Looks like the doctor managed to do the cut around the edge of the areola like he'd been talking about, instead of making a more-visible scar back closer to the actual lump. My boob looks kinda weird as a result, but I'm hoping that's mostly just because the tape and scabs are holding it ( Read more... )

So, biopsy says: Fibroadenoma. Not malignant, but they're sending me to have a consult with General Surgery to have them assess if it needs to be removed or not. Personally, I'm not big on the concept of surgical removal, but I guess it's up to what they recommend on this. Doctor knows best, right? But surgery?? Ugh. It's expensive, it makes ( Read more... )
