Such a painful chapter! (And yes, that's a compliment.) Ryan takes these little baby steps towards recovery but he doesn't realize he's making progress since he expects and hopes to leave his past behind, and he can't. He's got to face it, but it's so hard, and you've done a great job showing that.

Thanks for your comment! In canon, I've always dislike the way Ryan's past was unexistent and that nobody really wanted to talk about it like he never had one!

So sad and yet so hopeful too. Ryan hasn't yet realised that to get better he needs to confront all of these demons. But he's finally getting the help that he needed. Let's hope it has the desired effect.
