I spilled water on my computer last night and it short circuited and will probably never work again.

I need to be doing work; I have two papers due today, and I should be trying to get a job, but all I can bring myself to do is swear, cry, watch television, and eat.

And it's fucking raining outside.

Fuck.

On Wednesday, I had a conversation about why I want to work in public radio and why St. Paul has one of the best public radio stations in the nation, while a nurse had her hand inside my uterus.

I am half-tempted to include this anecdote in my cover letter for a marketing position at MPR. If nothing else, I think it adds color.

My cat is sleeping on my lap, while I, full of Black Bean Chipotle Burger, write about the relativity of truth in a poem I have been reading over and over for the past 3 days. Could anything be more perfect?

I was having a conversation with my mother the other day. It was a normal conversation. She was talking about her babysitter when she was a kid, and all of a sudden sort of got teary and started blinking rapidly and her voice got all quavery. I feel like I never have time to think or plan, even though that is all I do.

I woke up talking in my sleep Tuesday night; I woke up with mumbles on my breath of agendas, minutes, and requests for motions.

I was conducting meetings in my sleep, only waking as I reached the threshold of somnambulance.

Coming back to Morris brought with it many feelings that had never come with coming back to Morris before. Within the first few minutes of being here, I had experienced tremendous relief, like slipping on comfy shoes and pajama pants after prom night.
