sorry, this is not a comment on this comment directly, but in regards to the allman brothers...yes, they do indeed ROCK. I had their record hanging in my dorm room last year, until my RA made me take them down for fire safety reasons. boo. albeit they are in a completely different genre than Barber, and i'm not sure if i could get the same 'high' from it as the adagio, they are fantastic. thanks for sharing in the music appreciation!
