I just sent in my hosting availability and if everything is cool I'll be hosting approximately a fuck-load of bouts. I do a little more each year and now with more bouts, a longer college slam, and indy finals I should be sick of youth poets for awhile

awe! it's going back to the days where they called it a "poetry festival" that wasn't specifically oreiented towards slam! how I miss my Brave New Voices days...

LTAB is definitely more of a poetry festival than a regular slam. The competition is de-emphasized and the main focus in on community building. There are a bunch of panel discussions, featured poets, workshops, etc.

I've only been to one BNV but LTAB is waaay less creepy.
