Hey Jess. I'm really sorry about your uncle and about everything else that may or may not happen. There's a certain complexity that comes of having family so far away. It's hard to feel as sad about someone that isn't a major part of your life, but you feel as though you should be upset about it, and that makes you feel guilty. Both of my mother's parents dies within a year of each other, and I was sorry when they died, but I was more worried about my mom than about them. It's tough, though, because you feel like you're horrible for not feeling bad. Anyway, I'm sorry. You can call me or something if you feel like you want to talk about anything.
It sounds like your party was fantabulous. When's the wedding? Hopefully that will be the cheering up you need.
Thanks. It's harder to deal with when I talk to my mom or get an e-mail from her. There's also a certain helplessness about the situation too.
Yes, the party was fantastic - quite a high! The wedding is August 4 and I can't wait. This is the wedding we've all been waiting for and it's going to be LOADS of fun! :)
The helplessness is in some ways the worst part of all -- at least, that's how I felt when everything happened with Audrey awhile ago, and the fires, and all that. I'm sorry to hear about your uncle and the uncertainty and everything -- I know I'm far and can't do much, but I can sure listen on the phone if you need to vent! I'm good at that. I promise.
