I just finished my killer oral exam: me, alone with the professor, for one entire hour discussing quantum mechanics. I've been studying for months, and freaking out over every little detail. I recently had my first Polterabend. Instead of explaining what it is, I'll link to this page. It's a fairly common tradition here in Germany, and it's a lot of fun.
