So, I have a LiveJournal account. I'm not sure if you knew. If you did, I'm a little surprised, because I tend to forget about it. If it weren't for the email notices I get when waitingonsunday posts something new, I probably wouldn't even remember that LJ exists at all ( Read more... ) -
busy week
Last Saturday we hosted a Doctor Who meetup. It was pretty successful, I'd say. I think at the peak, we had about 12-14 people over. We made a ton of food, and overall, I think it went well. Everybody had a good time, as far as I could tell.

I wish I had more free time and more money to use it. There are so many trips I wish I could take. So many people I wish I could see. So much desire to not go to work... I think I'm just burning out ( Read more... ) -
Festivals!
We went to the Deep Ellum Arts Festival today. Deep Ellum is a very...indie? part of downtown Dallas. There's lots of graffiti art, music, bars, tattoo shops, retro clothing stores...that sort of thing. The festival spanned several blocks and had a mix of live music, food, and vendors selling art ( Read more... ) -

I installed the LiveJournal mobile app tonight. Maybe this will make me more inclined to actually post things from my phone. Who knows!

My wife introduced to me to Macklemore with the song "Thrift Shop", which she has been enjoying for a while now. It's a fun song, but I'm not a huge rap fan and I didn't really think much more about it. Then a different friend of mine posted a three song compilation that he did with NPR:
