If you have not seen this movie yet, SEE IT NOW. It was the 2006 Palme d'Or winner at Cannes but since then, it hasn't garnered as much attention as it deserves. Cillian Murphy is a) really really hot and b) actually speaks in his native accent.

Oh, that film. So good, so depressingly sad. Mostly because it was so realistic, like the flip side of the coin from Michael Collins which was pretty much a Hollywood version of the Irish struggle for independence, with a completely unnecessary love triangle and all.

But yeah, Cillian's pretty. And this is one of the surprisingly few films he's playing basically a nice, normal bloke (who just happens to get caught in terrible things).

Haha, I agree. It was nice seeing Cillian as a regular guy who isn't like a crazy psycho.

It is very realistic. I remember seeing Michael Collins and thinking it was too melodramatic as well.

It's kind of depressing and stuff but I found it to be very moving and Cillian's character is really interesting and complex but noble.

Yes! I thought that movie would've been a bigger deal but it sort of got overlooked. He's very pretty in that movie too. It's not like an amazing movie or anything but I thought the performances were pretty good.

mmmm i agree, even for the bit i saw.

same here! it's got Keira and Sienna, whom I thought were both very, very good. Sienna exceeded my expectations! Although Cillian was definitely the best for me.

Haha, it's definitely worth a watch. IMO, any movie that wins the Palme d'Or is worth a watch cause they tend to have very interesting but somewhat polarizing winners.

SO GOOD. I cried in the theatre when I saw it and I'm cold hearted when it comes to movies. And my heart was pounding so hard towards the end it was nerve-wrecking. I definitely remember having a little difficulty with the accents though. But MMMM CILLIAN.

LOL, the accents did throw me off for a bit. It should've come with subtitles.
