The weather has been beautiful the past few days.  I've enjoyed walking on the greenbelt, watering the herbs, laying on the hammock, and riding my motorcycle.  We've had the windows open so that fresh air can get in, and the basement is pretty much dry.

 Our basement is so fucking nasty right now.  We just can't get rid of the water.  As soon as we get a break from the rain the the water starts to recede a little bit, it rains again.  We just can't keep up with it.  There's standing water in about a third of the basement and mold growing on some of the (thankfully very cheap) stuff we have down ( Read more... )

 Ah, the weekend is almost here.  I have to work this weekend, but at least it's supposed to be sunny and warm.  It's been raining here all day, and it's supposed to rain tomorrow also.  I don't think our basement is ever going to dry out.  We have a dehumidifier that works very well, but won't do much about standing water.  *sigh*  For now I guess ( Read more... )

 Because of the insane amount of rain that we've had, the basement has been taken over by water.  I've been working on getting everything off of the floor, setting up fans,  and sweeping water into the drain.  So far it's helping, if only a little bit ( Read more... )

 Gods I'm incredibly tired, and it's almost 1pm.  I got two calls last night/this morning, and by the time I got home after the last call it was after 6am and I had had about two hours of sleep.  After Courtney left for school I crashed, so I did get some sleep.  However, I don't feel caught up, but I don't want to spend my entire day off sleeping ( Read more... )
