The article Pitiful Ways To Fail At Weight Loss really makes sense to me when it come to failing at weight loss. It talks about how reducing calories will help but not if you take it to the extreme. I read the article. I do agree when it says not to cut to many calories because it will backfire, that is true. The best way to know how many calories you need to lose, maintain or gain is to find out you BMR and go from there.
For me personally I HATE working out with others. I find they are never as focused as I am. Also running is usually my thinking time, although Mike and I do go together in the summer with the kids in the jogger, I dont like it as much as solo runs.
And lastly a marathon is 26.2 miles not 18, I have no idea why someone would write that. However even though that was a stupid statement the author's intentions were good. They are trying to describe the training effect.

I would use "common" over "pitiful" to describe these ways people fail at weight loss. Its a decent article--no complaints about inaccurate info from me, haha.
