A spring in my step
I don't know whether it's the spring air or what but there is a definite jump in activity at the mo. I am running out of material and other half finished projects to complete. Libraries are great
I have to say Northern Ireland Libraries are great. At least my local one is anyway. I've just taken out 7 books on historical fashion, such as the V & A Fashion in detail series. Oh the joy. Detail up close and personal of stays, pockets and button holes it's enough to make your mouth water. The library experience was so user friendly with on-line ( Read more... ) -
Pair of Stays
Well the last week has been a frantic rush to get the stays for the Riding habit completed. Trying to keep to a strict shedule so that I can get the most out of the time in class with the tutor when I can ask my idiot questions. I have been working on a few costumes for a local production of the Canterbury Tales. So far making the garments has went without too many hitches and the production was success. It was great to see my work on stage for the first time. The work of the other students on my course was excellent and helped lift the standard of the show. The young ( Read more... ) -
First Post
And so it begins my first online journal. I'll be posting my costume diaries on here as well as the progress on the workshop Me and my father are building where our creations will be born.
