Four more days in Hawaii. Although the weather has left something to be desired, it has been so nice to be right on the ocean. Every day is spent on the beach searching for nihei shells or peridot and when the weather is nice, we snorkel. I'm always looking over my shoulder for sharks or moray eels. The weather saturday was amazing...Helen and I spent the day in DUMBO taking pictures of her shoes and jewelry...it was a lot of fun! I was nervous at first about the whole photoshoot, because when I take pictures, it's always for myself, but this was the first time doing it for someone else (not counting for Marion). I'm kicking off the new year with a cold! Whoo hoo! The holiday week was a lot of fun though...Went to co-op city to hang out with sean's family on christmas eve. Jadine had a 'mandatory activity'. Everyone was given a pair of those musical reindeer headbands and we had an hour to decorate them as we so chose...I sewed mine together. See below for ( Read more... )

I didn't go to work yesterday, curtesy of the MTA strike...so that was fun...but today the novelty wore thin as I had to walk from the east village and over the Manhattan Bridge to DUMBO. It's not actually such an awful walk, and it only took a little more than an hour, but doing it twice in one day and the thought of having to do it again tomorrow ( Read more... )
