This morning I woke up just in time to see the Discovery land. It was pretty amazing to see it zooming through the atmosphere, just a tiny dot at first, and then you could make out the sillhouette of a spaceship ... I don't understand how they land these things...they're moving so fast and somehow they are able to slow down fast enough not to

you know that the shuttle glides in when it lands, there aren't any engines on it for landing, only take-off and maneuvering in space. crazy eh?
