It's been a year full of changes for me. Most of them good, some of them bad. I'll survive...

I'm teaching a class. Yep. Me. Sure, it's Intro to Graphic Communications at Lake Erie College in Painesville. It's only 8 students so far. But I'm responsible for what they learn. I better not think about it too much. I'll make myself even more nervous if I think about how what I do can affect they're lives.

I'm always surprised when someone I regard notices BFD. First, Jon Husband comments. I have Sandy to thank for that. I'm not sure if she realized that she was facilitating when she sent him an email that mentioned my name. It's been a while since I've LJ'd. I wanted to start using this for my more personal thoughts. Maybe I just haven't had time for many of those...

Perhaps now is a good time to start.

How much I hate yard work? No? I hate it. I spent two hours out in the yard today.

One thing about winter, you don't have to mow the lawn. It's August. I was hoping all the grass would be dead by now.

One of these days, I'm doing the Japanese garden like Jack's. I know Cis does a lot of work out there, but I'd prefer water to lawn any day!

I busted a** redesigning my blog this. It was loading terribly slow because of the commenting. I'm not getting much feedback about it. The # of hits it's getting is constant, so I don't think people hate it. It would be nice to KNOW though.

That's what I've been accused of. Keeping a dry blog that reads like an itenerary. Obviously, I'm behaving too professionally and need to add some sorrid tales of illicit affairs (someone elses! not mine.) and pick fights with bloggers in other areas. Today is a sad day. A very dear friend of mine is very sick and in a lot of pain. Her name is Samantha and she's owned my wife and I since before we were married. I know she's just a big gray cat, but I'll miss her anyway.
