I wish there were more interesting stories in the news besides Vice President Dick Cheny accidently shooting a man due to a hunting mishap.

The state of today's media causes me to frown sometimes.

I think the story probably wouldn't be as prevalent if Cheney's camp hadn't tried to hide it from the media.

Yeah, I've kept that in consideration as well. While it was a big deal how they attempted to "hide" it from the media, part of me can relate to that because if it had been me in Cheny's shoes, I probably wouldn't want to rush to tell the media that I had just shot someone, out of embarassment and humiliation.

Regardless, a field day would have ensued... although it would have definitely been much less dramatic if word about the situation had been delivered sooner.
