Another portion of the Emerson application, if you want to take film courses, has you submit a short script sample. In this I basically just wanted a story that revolved around a modern day, average guy who envisions himself some sort of Film Noir detective, and watch him react to sane people in an everyday, mundane siuation. pretty damn good. you forgot the exterior "EXT." for STREETS OF BOSTON- NIGHT

but creative idea. I'm taking a screenwriting class right now and it was interesting to read your little sequence.

I also read your other essays and loved them. some of your sentences are a little verbose, but stylizlized to say the least.

Thanks. I haven't taken a screenwriting class before, but I've read screenplays online so I think I have a vague idea what they're supposed to look like.

Yeah, I can be really verbose - sometimes I write in short snatches, working and re-working simple sentences until they're huge. And, even though they're more interesting and have more ideas when you look at them individually, sometimes they hurt the pacing of the story or essay as a whole.
