I'm glad you've been trying to keep Justin from using his hand too much. I think he's trying to avoid the fact that the pain really needs to be addressed.
I'd be interested in hearing Peter's reaction to Justin's bashing. I think it's important before he goes to High School to learn about how the actions of others can escalate. And that things like this don't always happen to people "we don't know".
Unlike Justin, I'm not going back to the beginning of time to catch up. But you know by now that Peter was upset by hearing some (not all) the details of the attack on Justin. He's being quite solicitious of the lad still. And he asked me yesterday if Gus knows about it and when I said NO, he suggested it might be best to keep it from Gus till he's older. So there's no worry Peter will accidentally talk about it in front of Gus.
Peter knew "about" the attack but he did not know the severity, e.g. didn't know Justin had been in a coma or that he is still affected by brain damage.
Hope everything goes well today with Peter's interview. Since Justin is banned from talking to the voyeurs, we are counting on you, Brian, to keep us informed.
I am glad that Justin is getting medical advice quickly though from my own experiences it frequently takes the medical profession a long time to figure out what is actually going on (or going wrong) as the case may be.
I am sure that you will give Peter all the information he needs to understand what happened to Justin and the lingering effects of same. I think it is wise that you are responsible for this talk as I feel Justin might minimize it in order to protect Peter but I know you will be up front and honest and that Peter will really understand just how awful some people can be.

Of course I was honest with Peter, but even though he's fourteen, I did not think he was ready to hear every detail about the attack and its aftermath. For one thing, Justin is embarrassed by his physical limitations and he wouldn't want me to dwell on that aspect.
