On orders from Sgt.-Major Taylor, herewith a new post. All's quiet on the western front (front lawn). On the eastern front (back lawn), Peter's out shooting hoops. A lazy day. And semi-peaceful, for a change.

Hi, Brian, I edited yet again since I think you probably would prefer not talking about the Peter stuff. If you do, fine, but I won't press you.

I know you aren't comfortable with someone telling you they hope you are okay. If you were, I'd tell you that.

I hope you get a little of what my icon displays soon.

And ETA: on Justin's story about Carl. I love that man! I'm so glad he was there to offer support.

I know you must be looking forward to seeing Gus. Do you have anything special planned for his visit?

I think Justin wants to share the "dirt" because he's damn proud of you - and you'll never admit, if you realize at all, how strong and incredible, and just damn human you're being. Despite everything, you're still there for the family that needs you. And THAT will do more for healing the past, by providing the positive work that changes the dynamic.

Your mother's probably past help, and of course you can only help people who want to help themselves, but something tells me that maybe, knowing there's that life line there, that Claire may be ready to respond. Which would be good for Peter.

So yeah, you'd never show any of this - but your significant other will. Lucky for us!

Okay so you're in this dark place at the moment Brian and no doubt non-verbal but I'm going to say it - you are the man to have around in a crisis. You showed great restraint in dealing with The Dick. Calling Carl in to help was a very good idea. Claire will one day appreciate this (or maybe not) but then you are not doing this for glory or praise. I know you will make sure that Peter is never within 10 feet of The Dick again.

PS. Will you just let Justin give you some TLC? He wants to do something and this is one way he can feel useful.
