First, let me send my well-wishes to Justin in the hopes that he recovers quickly to his "normal bratty self". Second, let me acknowledge how horrible this all must be. Obviously, the event itself must have been absolutely terrifying then to discover that Peter was in some way responsible...there truly are no words that could offer comfort.
I can understand how angry you must be and why you have chosen to stay away from Peter. I know that I separate myself from my students when they have screwed up for two reasons, which are to let them fret over consequences and to give me time to get myself under control so that I don't say or do something I would regret. Of course, none of them have done something like what Peter did. Now, Justin seems to have a point about Peter not doing it intentionally and that Peter needs to hear from you. He needs to understand that he was wrong but that you do still love him. Not easy in any way shape or form.
Glad to hear it but I suspect that it will take Brian a little longer to believe that you have recovered and/or to have completely forgiven Peter. I have hopes that Gus will help on all fronts.
I never say things that I regret, because No Regrets is a philosophy I live by. So, maybe sometimes a few unkind words come out in the middle of a confrontation, but I would not say that I regret them, exactly. I just fix it some other way, later.
Everything is fixed now. Peter is fine. Justin is fine. Everything is aces. At least until the next major crisis.
Brian I have just read your post to Justin about picking up Gus. You might want to ease up on the protective partner shit. I know you were angry and scared but shit happens you cannot always be there. Peter knows he stepped out of line and he is sorry, Justin needs you to forgive Peter and enjoy the him and Gus being with you both, so ease up and enjoy all your boys, hugs Chris
You know, I have never commented before on either Justin or you blogs. I have felt that it wasn't appropriate. However, after you little drama queen melt down over on bj_connects. I just had to point out the fact that you are way way way /way/ too lesbionic for words! And as speaking as a lesbian, you as a gay man, really, need to chill. You are dealing with children/adolescents who for the most part make HUGE fucking mistakes. Oh, wait a minute no one in the world makes mistakes, least of all the GREAT Brian. Do us all a gigantic factor and chill out. Yes, Peter fucked up. He's what? How many years old? And you're what? How many years old? Do us all a HUGE favor and back up at least two steps and re-evaluate the ENTIRE situation, not just your emotional baggage regarding this issue.
Actually, this comment surprised me; there's a lack of compassion, for want of a better word, supposedly a female quality. But maybe you're right. Maybe I never "chilled out" enough after watching my lover get his head bashed in with a baseball bat, so that now, when I find him unconscious after a blow to the head, I over-react by, you know, getting just a tiny bit upset at the person responsible for what could have been a life-threatening injury.
Holding Peter to an acceptable standard of behavior is, in my opinion, a responsible parental action. He made a mistake, yes, but it could have resulted in Justin's death, or at least a more serious injury. It's vital that he understands the consequences of such behavior. My reaction may have been harsher than necessary, but excuse fucking me if my so-called "emotional baggage" caused me to over-react.
My life would not be worth living without Justin, and that is no bullshit exaggeration. If that makes me a drama queen, so be it.
White water rafting!? Oooh yeah. I can see it now. Well Brian you ain't no lesbian but then I can't see you as a butch all-American-white-water rafting guy either. Please do tell if you agree to Peter's request.
I've been threatened with withholding of sexual favors until and unless I answer these comments. Not that I'm really WORRIED of course, but I will salvage my reputation by saying, YES, I agreed to the kid's request and I put on a good show of enjoying myself. Justin is the only one who saw my bruises AND my bruised ego.
