Oh, SNL...

...I wish you wouldn't have done that. And Alec Baldwin? WTF.

Agreed. Completely. What did that serve them? It sure didn't serve the rest of us.

Actually, like I told another LJ friend, Colin Powell's endorsement of Obama today sort of made me unclench about this, because the same dumbasses that like her will probably listen to what he has to say.

Yes, she could have done that rap song later, instead of Amy Poehler.

on NBC Nightly News, they reported that SNL had the highest ratings in 14 years last night.

Was it appalling? I wanted to set it to record, but I forgot and I don't feel like walking "all the way" upstairs to set it. She makes me cringe. Maybe it's best that I don't watch.

It was appalling to me at first. After viewing it, and context sunk in, it was sort of OK. I just think it's so brazen and gross of her to make fun of the fact that she hasn't allowed a press conference to take place, and that she's playing to the lowest common denominator with these crowds of dummies out there. I think that Colin Powell's Obama endorsement today makes everything OK, because these same dummies might listen to him, and he specifically says her selection is one of the key reasons he can't support McCain.

Colin Powell's endorsement is huge. It made me sit back and say, "Huh. Now that's something."

I attempted to watch, more than once. I couldn't stomach but a few seconds of it though before having to switch channels to something more palatable.

Baldwin's insults were too rough for my tastes. Tame by political standards, I know, but still more than I really wanted to hear.

Really? She deserves worse.
