How to Migrate to Dreamwidth

Dreamwidth was founded by ex-LJ staff members and the Dreamwidth code is a fork of the LiveJournal open source code (which just means that the software that runs Dreamwidth is based on LiveJournal’s code base). So the features (journals, commenting) should feel pretty familiar to anyone who has used Live Journal.

Well this is going to be an involved weekend project for me (definitely moving). What a pain. I already have an account over there - hopefully I can find the log in information.

Yeah, it's a project for the weekend, if only because it takes a while for the importer to run. But it's better than when I first copied my LJ over to DW. Now their importer moves EVERYTHING, profile, icons, posts, comments, pretty much everything you'd want to move except maybe CSS customizations.
