I am not pleased with this snow.

I was out at 3:45 AM to shovel as my frustrating father is determined to go to work... This is what happens to folks who have jobs with no pensions and no idea of what a 401k is.

I just found out that the daughter of the cousin who passed away had 3 stents put in her heart Friday.  She is just 40.  She also has diabetes like her Father did.  I dont know if that makes heart issues worse.  I hope the cousins all start thinking.  One has cancer, she is doing well, but it is not a curable kind.  2 are over 300lbs, and one is so ( Read more... )

It's been a week. I started working before 5 am to  catch up at work for being out and then Dad had 4 Doctor  appointments... by the time I got home I just wanted to crawl into a warm bed.

The week has been exhausting.

I have been trying to be "all Hands on deck" for work because of the tax reporting and the family won't leave me alone.  I am not heartless. I know they are hurting. It's January.  It's cold.  My skin hates me.  I am dreaming of going anywhere with a touch of humidity.  On my budget that's either the produce section of the grocery store when they turn on the veggie sprayers, or the aquarium.

My cousin is gone.

From what I can figure the cousin had a massive heart attack yesterday at the eye doctor's.  He just hit the floor hard, hit the his head first. Left temple.

The lead cousin called me at 6 AM saying that they placed him on a machine that put oxygen in his blood.

I just got a call from a cousin that their brother, the Contractor Cousin, had a massive heart attack today at the eye doctor's.  They rushed him to a hospital in Brockton where he was stabilized and then transported to Boston at the hospital I work at.   They did emergency surgery. Welcome to the new year.  Some of it will be scary.  Some will be the same old same old.  Just hold on tight and find things that bring you joy.
