So Dave and I went to see the new Robin Hood movie. It was kind of fun, and I liked the look of the thing. It was mud and grit, and this great scene of crossing the English channel on these horrid open boats with all the horses freaking out. So I am totally stalling on making the sleeves for the fitted English gown. Now that I have a deadline, this weekend, I will hopefully get this done. I just hate setting in sleeves. Frankly, so few of the things I make for me require it so it is not my best skill. I had an idea that I could use a padded shoulder roll under the sleeve as support ( Read more... )

So we all had a lovely time while David's Mom was here, and the only bummer was that I had to agree that it would be TOO rude of us to ask her to babysit while we went to a SCA event.
