I just got a call from the hospital informing me that I'm a grandma!  Seriously.  They mistakenly thought they were calling Ashley''s mom, not her teacher.  The call ended with, "Congratulations Grandma!"  I didn't correct them.  Ashley (one of my students) had a C-section ("they cut me open") earlier this evening and has a healthy baby boy. I have no idea what I was thinking several weeks ago when I scheduled my flight to Boise for Thanksgiving.  My flight is at 6:02 AM.  In addition to arriving early at the airport, I also live TWO AND A HALF HOURS from Albuquerque.  Is this really worth it to arrive in Boise by 10:00 AM?  Am I trying to make myself crazier than I already am?

I’m in the process of trying to recreate my favorite mix tape from high school.  Actually, it wasn’t mine.  I borrowed it from Josh who somehow got it from Margo.  The songs are written in Margo’s handwriting and “Margo’s Tape” is written in Josh’s handwriting.  I gave the tape back to Josh years ago, but I still have the case.  The songs remind me ( Read more... )
