my relief, let me show it to you

To celebrate me getting that BLASTED bit of dust off of my camera, I thought I'd share the pictures.

I don't know if I can properly show just how happy I am but I spent about an hour last night cleaning ALL MY lenses (read: the 18-55 mm and the 55-200 mm) so that it would just go away only to discover that it wasn't a bit of dust on the lenses but ( Read more... )

These photos are really really lovely. I want wide-angle lenses too. But I never seem to have enough money for anything these days. Two days ago I lent my sister my point and shoot camera and she gave it back in two pieces. FML. I'm ecstatic to be on your f-list. Thank you for adding me despite that really creepy come-on. ♥

Aw thank you! Yes, the money issue...I'm thinking of asking for one for my birthday. It seems the logical choice.

That's terrible! I still have my point and shoot but just not with me at school...

Bahaha it's alright. I jumped in on your comment!

Gorgeous photos, as usual. What, if anything, do you do editing-wise to your photos before you post them? I usually don't do anything to mine but I probably should just to make them look a little nicer.

Thank you! I try not to do too much to my photos. If anything it's slight color adjustments (enhancements). The one of the flag is completely out of the camera un-touched with the exception of the bit of dust I removed. I think I emphasized the yellow in the grass...on the other pictures. I don't see any reason for not editing my photos even though I feel sort of guilty about it sometimes. But if printing was half the process with film cameras, then surely the digital darkroom can be just as important at other times. You know?

But really, I try not to do anything that wouldn't look natural and isn't far from the original.
