At last! Photos from Cape Cod! My aunt and uncle own a house in Truro and we went down there from Sunday-Friday (optimum chance of avoiding bad traffic). It is so gorgeous and I love it. It was really really relaxing. And somehow I escaped the deer flies that are now EVERYWHERE here. Dear god.

I love the second 'large on black' photo, it's so timeless. I also adore the one of all the birds going into the water in a straight line.

That picture of your dad definitely definitely does not look like he's 53. I liked reading about how proud of him you are in that little side note. My dad is pretty much the same, except having cancer prevents him from being as fast and as strong as he used to be.

Thanks! I was really pleased with the majority of photos that I took.

I know, right? He's doing everything right, really, and there's a bit working against him though nothing like cancer. I hope your dad's still going relatively strong!

Oh, he's fine. And still far fitter than most men his age, but when you've always been pushing yourself and your body suddenly fails you, it hits you harder than it would someone who's never been in excellent physical shape. You can come back, your body will recover, but it leaves its scars - or so I've been told.
