Yep. The peninsula's countertop is going to be replaced; T- wanted a 15" overhang, so people could sit on the other side and eat. IMHO, the deeper countertop will end up being used as an impromptu spice storage area, but either way it's useful.
I LOVE the exterior colors!!! And the brick is a perfect match. Is your laundry room upstairs - don't remember - just saw the vent. The kitchen is light and GORGEOUS!!! You both have done a wonderful job in all your selections. Can't wait to see it!!!
Your daughter gets the credit for all the colors, with the possible exception of the carpet. (We'd almost settled on a bright blue, but I talked her out of it.) Get to see the carpet next week. :)
The laundry room is downstairs, off the hallway to the garage. That's one of the two things that I'm not really happy about with this floorplan (the other being the fact that the kitchen isn't quite as large as I'd like). The exterior dryer vent is actually now hidden down inside the joists of the front porch; it will vent underneath the deck, probably just enough to warp the boards. :) [I hope I'm kidding there.]
The bright-kitchen motif was a good choice; again, T's idea there. I probably would've gone overboard with woods and regretted it later; I love seeing finished wood, but can't often get into the "log cabin" feel that appears if you have too much of it.
I understand the visit calender is already filling up. Looking forward to showing the place off! :)
