30 Days - The Reprise

I still need to pull the last nine daily images for the first "30 Days" challenge for processing and posting, but I've managed to misplace Pinky's USB cable. (If you couldn't already tell from the less than spectacular image quality, most of the dailies have been taken with "Pinky" my little, girly-pink Kodak pocket camera, rather than the old

I have to say that I really like her quite a bit! She's got a softness to her. And they make a very handsome couple.

If you don't mind me asking, what is it about him that makes him so hard to photograph? Does the sculpt cast weird shadows when light hits him (you are well aware of the Shiwoo sinus headache look, I'm sure)? He's really quite handsome and I think you do a great job of photographing him!

The Amakusa sculpt is just... problematic. The shadows are definitley part of it, but the shape of his eyes and mouth also make things difficult. If you're not really, really careful he comes out looking not only ticked off, but also absolutely god-awful, worse-than-an-early-DZ fugly.

Even Volks' own promotional pictures of the sculpt are only a shade better than awful...

But he really isn't. In person, the sculpt is fine.

He just doesn't fare as well in two dimensions. o_O
