If anyone else is particularly fond of thief type books I've got a short series rec for you. Its "The Queen's Thief" series by Megan Whalen Turner and sort of maybe counts as young adult fiction. It manages to be fairly light and pretty intense throughout which makes it a fun read. All three volumes had me hooked and pretty much work as

The shop is filled with motorized planes and helicopters. The added touch was the training simulator so that you don't fry your $1000+ model on its first flight
