A sharp tip!
Finally overcame nerves and buttonholed the front of the dress shirt. Pro tip - if you've got your buttonholes sewn but not cut yet with the actual slit for the button to go through - get a chisel. A sharp one, I borrowed a wood carving one from the basement that was in really good shape.

Sewing buttonholes is really annoying. I understand the basic procedure but its really nervewracking. Not to mention that now my machine has decided to start skipping stitches on me for no apparent reason. Guess I'll go work on the swords for a little while instead. :P ( Read more... ) -
Day Toe...
So the damage seems to be mostly contained to one toe, but it still kinda really hurts. The swelling goes down beneath the toe so I'm mostly walking on that heal to protect the front pad and avoid jarring it. Also, spent the day wearing soft slippers and not being particularly active.

Alright so everyone elses was last week but ours got time shifted. I saw a fox and a deer (quite a ways apart) on the way to the dinner, and then a stag right by the highway shoulder on the way home in the dark. His antlers were awesomely shadowed.
