i have -never- been so sore and physically exhausted in my life. it was absolutely one of the most awesome things i've ever done

it was -intense-
i mean i've seen lava fields on other islands and in iceland but this was just a whole other ballgame, it just went on for miles and you had to be careful where you went since some of it was just tubes you could fall into and get roasted.

one of the thoughts guiding me back through the field at night was "oh man i'm gonna go in a hot spring when this is done" but i was so sore i couldn't do it, the only reason i even had the strength to take a shower was because i legit did not know if i was soaked because of sweat or rain. (though the reason i was so sweaty was, aside from physical exertion, was that i was on prednisone which just = hot flashes all the time)
