Wedding favor component arrived Monday and was waiting on our welcome mat when we got back from the desert.

Wedding shoes arrived Tuesday, and are wonderful.

Wedding gown arrived at my mom's house this evening...never, ever buy your dress on eBay!  Sure, I got the dress at almost 1/3 of what the bridal shops wanted to charge me, but that was waaaay ( Read more... )

• Saturday: headpiece
• Monday: main component for favors
• Tuesday: shoes
• Wednesday: invitation paper
• Thursday: gown!

Despite the carpet cleaning, the place where the cats used to have their litter box (and where Hobbes once pushed half his litter out of the box and then used it where it lay) still stinks.  I scrubbed it with Resolve at the time and have sprayed it with some pet odor remover several times, and now it's been steam cleaned and we used the Rug Doctor ( Read more... )

• Had a good day at school (albeit the kids were definitely in "rainy day" mode by the end).
• Met Dad and Andrew in Santa Maria for dinner at Olive Garden.

Friday:

• Taught the kids how to use the reference sections of their Social Studies textbook (gazetteer, glossary, biographical dictionary, atlas, etc.)--I don't think they've learned much else ( Read more... )
