Absolutely beautiful. The non-proposal was perfect. Can’t help but think of the ending of Fortune, how Oliver didn’t directly ask Chloe if she wanted to stay married, the nervousness and hope on his face, and Chloe’s priceless reaction. I can easily picture your non-proposal scene playing out with similar emotions.

Love how you end the piece, right at the moment it all started: “After a bad day, a glass of scotch, and a somewhat impromptu archery lesson, he kisses you. Or you kiss him. Your heart beats a little faster.” Even though you described glimpses of their future relationship, there’s still so much anticipation built with that last sentence. Awesome job!
