Good news! Harloff emailed me today and I am playing lead trumpet at Crown. This is really good because I don't have to deal with the 2 instrument stuff and I won't take huge steps backwards like I did as far as range went. Today my pledge class did our "music mission". This meant that we were to go to a nursing home and play for the old folks. Anyway, it turned out only me and another trumpet could play and the rest just talked to the people. This weekend is going to be a lot of fun! Friday Night is part 1 of a 4-part weekend thing where we learn more about our fraternity and then have a huge party. It's going to be sweet. Thursday and Friday night were a lot of fun. Probably one of my favorite things about living in dorms is that there is always something fun to do that is probably going to distract you. In a whirlwind, I might be getting a REALLY kick butt job this fall. No more details until I find out if they are serious about getting me in. Seriously though, this could be REALLY REALLY good job so I hope it pans out.

Just like that, I no longer have a job for this fall or the upcoming spring. Apparently New Palestine is having "budget problems" and is having a smaller staff this year.
