Disclaimer: These are my thoughts and my opinions. They are in no way meant to offend anyone who thinks differently about this episode. In light of all this negativity towards the season finale, I thought it was important that I share why I thought this episode, while not the best episode ever, was still legit. I know we talked about all this already, but that was effing awesome!!!!

'Rather, it was a revelation for the audience ABOUT Brennan..' Yes! It really wasn't a light bulb moment for her, but the culmination of weeks of questioning and searching. She's come to grips with it. She's known about it, but we really did just see her finally accepting it...albeit somewhat reluctantly.

I'm still struggling a bit with the ending, but you've actually helped a lot. I never looked at it from the angle you presented it in. This does pt a lot of weight on Brennan's shoulders, but opens up room for so much development. She is going to have to be the emotionally strong one now and the fate of their relationship really does reas on her shoulders. Thanks!

This actually made me way more excited for Season 5. For as much as I did enjoy the episode it didn't really leave me with a very great feeling of anticipation, but that's definitely changing.

WAY TO STAND UP FOR THE AU!!!! It was AU...get over it.

What can I say? If something's worth getting worked up over...

I really never looked at the ending at way. It is going to be heartbreaking if they allow the amnesia to persist for a few eps, but it will say a lot about Brennan and the moment when he does remember her will be all the more beautiful.

It also does, as you said, give me a whole new anticipatin for them finally hooking up when we see what they could be like together. It has been heartbreaking, but endearing to watch them struggle and overcome their obstacles.

I think that Brennan really needs this anmesia thing. I mean, I REALLY BELIEVE IT. I wanna see Brennan struggle with her newfound belief in love before she engages in it. She has to learn to not run.

I LOVE BB SO MUCH RIGHT NOW.

I'm headed back to work so I don't have time to read this novel..LOL...(that's totally a joke ok??)...but I can't wait to get home tonight to read it. Even though I'm sure I'll disagree with alot of it, I love reading your posts!!

Maybe by September I will have forgiven Hart.

believe it or not, i read every single word of this! and i love what you had to say about the possible repurcussions of the amnesia - i feel the exact same way!

i was not a big fan of this episode, but i didn't hate it, either. sometimes i think that maybe it's easier for me to bc i haven't been following these characters for as long as others - therefore, maybe it's easier for me to go with the flow since i haven't invested years into it. i mean, maybe that's why it's easy for me dislike it sometimes and still want to watch it, haha.

i really would love for it all to have been written by brennan because i think it would make it a better episode, but unfortunately i'm just not convinced that that is the case.

anyway, i really enjoyed reading your opinions and theories as to why certain things were said and done in the ways that they were. thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts! i really enjoy reading about your take on things! :]

I love you. Seriously, I think this is totally brilliant. Can I agree with every point you made? After three viewings and reading many, many reviews and thoughts on this episode, I think I really love it. I also think it's much deeper and thought provoking than most people can see.

Brennan's repressed desire is strong and urgent. Its vivid; she has created it in her head. The fact that a whole episode was devoted to it shows how strong a desire it is. Palpable.This. That's what hits me first about this episode. I don't believe Brennan had an epiphany about her emotions either. It was a slow build up that everyone had a hard time seeing, including herself. But when I watched the end of Mayhem and Sweets 'saw' it and we saw the title of his book 'Bones - The Heart of the Matter', immediately I thought of Brennan. I really think this season is about Brennan working through her emotions regarding Booth. She may say that she thinks the feeling of love is all chemical, but she feels it quite differently ( ... )

I'm so glad you loved it! I really think this episode has so much to say about Brennan and Booth. The fact that some people hate it so much is confusing to me. There was great development to the build up of the episode.
