Be happy to be rid of that person. Sounds like an asshole. I don't understand why they just couldn't delete you than be an asshat. Whatever I guess. Your journal is yours to write what you want, and if you don't feel comfortable writing here then where else?

I have two other depressed friends right now. One of them recently lost her home and is staying with me temporarily while she tries to figure out what to do next. But she doesn't want to do anything but lie on my living roo couch all day, and rarely can I get her to go outside, even by offering to take her to dinner and the like.

She is coming with me to Binghamton for Thanksgiving, but I've a feeling it's going to be a long, hard winter, and I'm worried about her.

has she been to a dr/therapy? its no fun but it does kind of make things better. if i had a therapist right now i'd be telling them most of this stuff which would at least cut down on the sheer volume of bummer

you are excused from reading the bummer, as you hear enough already i'm guessing ;-)
i'm not gonna stop writing it. but like i said no one has to read it!

i think your friend has been through alot. shes pretty much lost everything right? that has a way of making doing anything but lie in bed or on the couch seem meaningless. hope shes still got her lap top and she can still do some reading. imo you both need to go out and jointly adopt a kitty. seriously you guys both need the things only a small furry beast can give you (unconditional friendship and love, love, love). someone furry to lie on the couch with her. some one good thing in an at the moment really bad time. just my opinion. I *have* seen how you love the beasties and feel bad about taking them away from you :-(

I do think beasts are one of the best antidepressants ever discovered. We talked about a beast this morning, btut she says she can't deal with one right now. She has allergy issues, among others.

I have some of your stuff to drop off; may come by after work Tuesday?

Some people don't understand depression.

Don't sweat it, they are stupid and you aren't. Simple. :D

Hiya I found you whilst looking around lj for new friendships and I relate to this post and agree with you completely. I'm 42, from North Wales, no kids but in a long distance relationship. Feel free to add me if you are taking on new friends :-)
