State of the Me: In keeping with tradition, February continues to be one of my worst months (if not the worst) out of the year. I've managed fairly well, I think-I'll still be making reqs, which puts me ahead of this time last year. But I'm not at all happy with how slow I've been the last half of the month.
I just tonight finished my last assignment for my French New Wave class (The accelerated one that was twice the coursework). I've got a paper to write for it over the next few days and then the final exam on the 5th, but after that I'll be down to 3 classes, none of which I consider especially trying. That said, I'll be taking mid-terms at the beginning of March, so just be aware.
I mentioned this to Angel, and I'll go ahead and repeat it here: At this point, major slowtime is fine with me as long as you tag me within 5 days. If it goes longer than that, I'll assume you've dropped, but this tends to be a tough time of year for a lot of us, so I just wanted to put out there that if you need a few days to reply properly, I understand. Conversely, reply to me as quickly as you like. Just please don't expect me to be as fast in return. XD

Character Development and Plot: The Bakery opened to absolutely no fanfare, but I've been using it in some threads, so at least I feel like it wasn't for nothing. As of right this moment, Shari doesn't have much in the way of plot happening, but that's okay. She gets around and talks to people and does things like the auction, so I never really worry about her. Her relationship with Peter continues to be somewhat strained, and I imagine that will probably continue; as Cerie has pointed out to me a number of times, he's still a teenager and while Shari is only in her early twenties, she's made the most of her time on the island from a developmental standpoint. They're just not very well matched emotionally right now.
Looking Ahead: As I've mentioned before, I'd like to get her into a relationship that pushes her out of her comfort zone. Right now, she thinks being single is how things are supposed to be for her, and she fights pretty hard to keep most people pleasantly at arm's length.

Character Development and Plot: Sirius has really suffered this month. I think there are several reasons for this, including the massive emotional load he's been under, my own personal issues, and that he's still in this transition. I'm really disgusted with his tag length this month, and my goal for him for next month is to play him more frequently and longer. More than anything else, I think he needs to thread with Harry, and a lot, because this has the power to make him uncomfortable. His being so calm and collected right now is as unsettling to him as it is to me, despite how he might seem. When Neil pointed it out, that really got to Sirius.
Looking Ahead: Essentially, I'm looking for opportunities for Sirius to fuck everything up. Right now he's playing at being a good person, a proper godfather, and he has it in him, but he'll never really be 100% because he's incapable of being completely well-adjusted. Deep down, he doesn't think he deserves to have Harry love him so much, or for Cassie to be so enamored of him. He loves his family and friends, would die for any of them in an instant, but he believes they should have better. He isn't a masochist, but when things go horribly wrong, it makes a really fucked up, comforting kind of sense to him. He's self-sabotaged in the past, so he'll probably do that again. The cave rave will provide a good opportunity if nothing comes up before.

Character Development and Plot: Not much happened for Pepper this month aside from me being mean to her by way of the clothes box. I'm just a little bit burnt out on her, as it turns out. I've tagged her into Peter's latest EP and I do have future plans for her, but next month will likely be fairly quiet for her. She's mostly happy, which is a very strange feeling that she's having to adjust to. Niko has been training her for a few months, and he won her in the auction so that he could make her do even more. On the one hand, it's good for her because it's empowering, keeps her fit, etc etc, but on the other, she's kind of using it at present to keep her head buried in the sand about her relationship with Tony, which is basically the same relationship they have always had but labeled something else. They're in a holding pattern, both of them afraid to move forward-Tony ostensibly because he's afraid of fucking it up, and Pepper because sleeping together isn't something they can go back from if they decide this doesn't work. As if, somehow, either of them might actually ever end up with someone else. Oh, co-dependency, you are so delightful.
Looking Ahead: Pepper, Mary Jane and Karen will be opening a consignment shop/boutique as soon as I can figure out where it should be and put the building request in. This isn't something that's going to be Big Deal from the mun side of things, but it's something for our pups to do and one more place to stage threads in. Also, by summer she should have been training long enough to kick some real ass. Looking forward to that.

Character Development and Plot: Cal has also had a fairly quiet month. Unfortunately, when things get stressful, it's the pups without any immediate plot (Like Sirius and Cal) who get the short end of the stick. I've been rereading some of Roadkill because it has been almost a year on the island for Cal, and I'm ready for him to start really moving forward developmentally. I think having a bit of canon refresher will help prime me for that. He's just met Dean, and they're going to have manly bonding times wherein Cal beats the manpain out of Dean and then takes him to dino territory to shoot big guns. This opportunity came up unexpectedly, but I'm really grateful for it, because Cal loves Niko, but he needs a male friend who isn't his brother. Also, he found out Sarah is Sarah Connor, and he wouldn't say this to her face, but he finds that kind of hilarious. XD
Looking Ahead: A kinder, gentler Cal? Not so much, at least not by any normal standard, but he'll probably be more snarky than surly in the coming months, and god help us all, will probably flirt with ladies. Considering that he looks like Ian, this could be a problem for us all.

Character Development and Plot: Here's the deal: Wallace still really likes Kon, but Wallace is sick up to here of Kon's teenage bullshit. His New Year's resolution was to stop pursuing the kid, and he did. Of course, Kon noticed this and won Wallace in the auction. Now they're supposed to hang out together on what Kon isn't calling dates but MAY be dates, because Kon didn't really want to ask Wallace out, he just bid on a whim but decided he wanted a reset of their relationship and to get to know Wallace better, isn't that good for a guy's self-esteem? So, at this point, Wallace is supremely irritated and IDK what Kon is going to do, but it had better be spectacular if he wants Wallace to give a fuck. If he wanted to screw a teenage superhero this badly, he'd go seduce Billy Kaplan. :P As I was explaining to Megan the other day, this situation is difficult for me because 1) Wallace is not a serious person by nature, 2) there is no canon basis for him being serious, but 3) this situation requires it.
Looking Ahead: Wallace is ready to be fully back on the market, so in the next week or so I'll probably rewatch/reread canon and then start throwing him at guys in the game with a vengeance again.

Lux Cassidy | illuxinated

Character Development and Plot: Lux has had a pretty busy few months. She and Jason are doing well, although I'm sure you all saw that Tim won her in the auction because Tim is an epic dumbass. As a result, Jason FLIPPED OUT and Lux ended up punching Tim in the nose. However, we've got what I think will be a really amazing Gotham home plot all charted out and ready to play, which should change the dynamic between them all a fair bit. Baze continues to work on her treehouse, and she grudgingly moved back into his hut while he does that, as Jason moved in with Bucky and she couldn't be his cave hump bunny anymore.
Looking Ahead: As mentioned, home plot. I'm really looking forward to the aftermath of that. I'm also going to continue to try and get her meeting more teenagers. It's good for her to remember that she's not actually an adult, even if her boyfriend doesn't act like he's 17 any more than she does.
Requests: Baze and Jason always, Tim, Alex, Zuko, Effy, any other teenagers. Oh, and BUCKY.
Clark Kent | only_son

Character Development and Plot: Clark continues to be earnest but perplexed by island life and his place in it. However, he's so focused on being good that he adapts well. I'm really glad that I was able to give him the GAE to work on, because if he didn't have something like that to focus his attention on right now, he would be listless and depressed, and nobody likes their puppy sad. He's got such a steady personality that I've not had any trouble playing him and playing him a LOT (19 threads was the final count on that EP), and mostly I've just been enjoying him meeting people and making friends. He had a minor spat with Lex over Oliver (surprise!), so he's had his bubble burst about Lex being all-new and all-nice, but he's trying very hard to understand.
Looking Ahead: Work on the GAE will continue, but it will be a long time before it's finished. I really, really, REALLY want him to continue meeting people and getting close to people. I want him to be a role model for kids, because that's incredibly important to him. He's starting to comprehend the breadth of the legacy he is eventually a part of, and upholding that ideal will become a major focus. If Megan's app for Oliver is approved (And no, I am not allowed to review it :P), he will bring a whole shit storm with him, and Clark will essentially be between his two best friends trying to keep them from killing each other. FUN TIMES!

Looking Ahead: Assuming everything goes as planned (And it should), Tony will officially be debuting on March 8th during the Mardi Gras festivities. It will be an open debut, although Effy will have the first thread/explain/freak out, and all the rest will take place at the party proper. I know I've been discussing Tony's influence with a number of you and all of that still stands, but keep in mind that I'm pulling him from the end of 1x09, which means he'll be subdued for awhile as he gets past some philosophical shit and feels out the place. He has to get thoroughly embedded in the island teen culture before he can do any real damage; it's a process. I just don't want any of you thinking I'm slacking when he doesn't immediately start chaos upon arrival. XD He'll be doing some adventuring with Chris, looking for things to keep him busy, but eventually he'll get bored. And THAT is when shit will start to get good. :D
Requests: Every teenager on the island. Gullible adults are welcome, too.
Future: Right now I have 3 pups in my queue, but none of them are 100% for sure:
Franky Fitzgerald from Skins - This child hit me really hard and unexpectedly, but I haven't put her in PotF yet or given her a test drive in any way, so I can't say for sure that she'll work for me. We have 3 more episodes of this series, so I'm going to wait and see how that goes, but I suspect I may end up apping her first.
Johnny Storm from Ultimate Fantastic Four - Johnny is loud. REALLY loud. I've played him before, so I'm not really concerned about my ability to play him. But I am not finished catching up on the canon yet and I'm taking my time with it. As a result, he will not be in the March PotF, but by April I should be ready to throw him in and see how things go. Considering the timing of Peter finding out about what recently happened in 616 continuity, it's probably better that I wait anyway. Bottom line: I want to be sure I'm as prepared as possible before I do bring him, so it could be as late as P5 or even P6. I'm not completely ruling out changing my mind altogether, either, although I don't predict I will. We'll just have to see how things shake out.
Dick Grayson from Batman - He's in the queue, I like him a lot as a character and he's very well-suited to me as far as I can tell, but this is a massive maybe. As in, if I do app him, I will be surprised if it's before next year kind of maybe. I'm slowly reading some of the comics (Thank you, Amanda!), but there is a LOT of canon to slog through and my tested limit is 10 pups. So. No promises of any kind.
