ouch. so i re-take the online quiz that we had to take for enviro (i am not a dork, because i am failing the class) this time hypothetically. say i found myself a group of seven or more fantastics and we went to costa rica and lived together in a house without running water or electricity and worked and cooked and took the bus everywhere ( Read more... )

the most random clips of conversation or occurances on the street or lyrics from a song can launch anyone into questions of what the hell is going on in this fucked up world we've created for ourselves. it's pretty crazy. but it's true, there's so much about human-crated society that i love as well. i guess it's a love-hate sort of thing. maybe it's just best to monitor the amount we think about it.

hugs and love.

that quiz is really frightening. if everyone lived like me, we'd need 4.something planets, mostly because (i think) of the 50-100 roundtrip miles i drive almost every week to clarksburg, md. but what we've made--cafecafe and the glass counter with all the foods and desserts and everything else--is uneccessary and ridiculous, and i still don't want to give most of it up. im with lizzie on monitoring how much we think about it...

Socialism is actually a better idea than your whole life.

Our society can easily support both running water and electricity (I'll give you private vehicles as being extravagant) with plenty of planet left over.

what does 'our society' refer to?
cause if i'd answered yes to the electricity and running water questions (ecofoot.org) it would have required more than 1 planet.
