I'm feeling very overwhelmed by my group project for social methodology. My group, which consists of me and one other girl, are trying to study the relationship between school district income and teacher turnover rates in urban public schools in the US. Our research proposal is due Monday so we're meeting on Saturday to go over everything. ( Read more... ) -

I am in love with our new microfridge because it lets me order food and keep what I don't eat to be had tomorrow. Roomie and I went to a state park and had a nice hike this afternoon that may or may not have included tresspassing, we're not too sure. This weekend has been good. A roomie from years past came up to visit and I spent last night and this evening with her, her boyfriend, and random people that they know but I don't. All in all it's been fun but she called me to come hang out with them and it's going to be more strangers and I don't really feel like it right now. We went to dinner ( Read more... ) -
Water, water everywhere...
Only not so much since apparently the water got shut off in my building. Which is great since it happened while I was at the gym leaving me to sit around feeling sweaty and gross for the past 30 minutes. Greatness.

Basically this week has been kind of long and boring and I'm pretty sure that's how the rest of the semester is going to go. Roomie's at work until 2 which sucks because we haven't really been able to hang out, though we did go on a drive to Green Castle, Mo because I missed a turn to go to the state park. Dirty Jobs
There are moments when Mike Rowe reminds me why I love him as much as I do. He's making barrels and keeps talking about the bunghole which is the hole in the barrel where it gets filled and emptied. I just love hearing him say "bunghole". -

So I've been to all my classes and I have to say that I'm not too impressed with how this semester is going to go. I think mostly it will consist of sleeping and not paying attention during class. Also...hopefully I'll get in shape this year. It's my last chance to go to a gym for free and I NEED to take advantage of it.
