I got a fish yesterday.  He is a Red Betta Fish. Scientifically known as Betta Splendens, or Belontiidae. He origonally came from Cambodia, Thailand.  Betta Fish live for about two to three years (wow) and the males--aka, the really pretty ones, cannot be kept together.
