Insomnia sucks.
I’ve worked out when I suffer from it... when I don’t have a set routine or day, like say, an 8:30am to 5:30pm job.
Argh.
I’m not finding it particularly hard to settle in, just getting some decent sleep seems to be the only thing unnerving me at the moment. I guess it’s mostly down to being in a new house with new people and a ( Read more... ) -

Dublin again...
The day after St Patrick’s Day, I moved to another hostel and this one was soo much nicer than the first one. I ended up sharing a room with a German guy and two Italian guys (why do I always end up in a room full of guys??) the first night, and then a girl named Laura ended up moving into the room with us the next night after the Italians left. So, St Patrick’s Day was amazing. I awoke at some insanely early time to an alarm which I still haven’t worked out where it came from. I literally sprang from the bed in such a shock because the noise was so unfamiliar and weird... Update
So... it’s been a fair while since I updated this thing. I had a plan to update once a week after I had finished the Contiki tour, but that sort of flew out the window with my laziness.
Now the hustle and bustle of Contiki is over and I’m settled in one place. After a couple of last great days with the girls in London, I boarded the plane for ( Read more... ) -

I’m in a room with all boys now. Eeek. They are all foreign and don’t speak any English (or maybe they refuse to?). Eek. First night in this hostel and a few of them all rock up at 3:30am drunk and wake me and the other two people up. Fun.

Day 24
Yep, it’s our last day today. There’s a bit of a somber mood in the air today, but that could partially be due to the fact that some of us are hungover and not looking forward to getting on to that boat to go back to London.

Day 23
It feels a little bit surreal that we’re in Amsterdam and it’s our last full day in a city on the tour. I can’t believe how quickly the time has gone by, some times it feels like only yesterday I was breaking my back trying to lug my backpack downstairs of the Royal National so I could load it on the bus and hop on to start this Contiki ( Read more... ) -

Day 22
This is going to be a really short entry because basically all we did was drive was St. Goar to Amsterdam today. First up we had breakfast and loaded our gear onto the bus, and then were taken on a quick tour of a stein store and were able to purchase steins if we wanted. Today was not our day. We got away okay but it wasn’t long before we got pulled over by the toll booth cops (Zolls) as we were driving across the border to Germany. Everyone panicked and woke up really quickly to put on our seatbelts and they ended up not even caring about that. Turns out they wanted to search the bus, so we had to follow ( Read more... )
