Nice to Florence
Day 10
There was so much traffic in Nice as we tried to leave this morning, it was freakin’ crazy. They had the end of their Carnivale so the streets were gridblocked and closed off. Nice, Nice, Nice
Day 9
Today was our second day in Nice, another free day to pretty much do whatever we want. Breakfast was less than pleasant. It consisted of stale bread and a croissant with only strawberry jam (yuck). Day 8
Another early and snowy cold morning. Another long bus ride. Another trip without any catch up sleep. I am going to have the puffiest and biggest bags under my eyes when this trip is over. Day 7
So today was our mostly free day. We basically could do whatever we want after we went for a walk with Ryan and after we had our optional lunch. He took us up to see the Lion monument which is basically a tribute to the 200 slain Swiss guards who were killed trying to protect Marie Antoinette and King Louis XVI. Paris to Lucerne....
Day 6
So we pretty much drove from Paris to Lucerne in one whole day. Fun.
When we arrived at Lucerne it was already snowing. It is such a beautiful place here, kinda small and easy to get around in as well. We stopped at our hotel, unloaded our luggage and got our rooms again. Unfortunately in this hotel you are allowed to smoke inside, so I ( Read more... ) -

Day 4
Day 4 started as another early morning. I got up around 6am as we had to leave the hostel at 6:45am to be on the road straight away. I packed up my stuff (I seem to be accumulating more and more, or so it seems!) and headed downstairs in the cold, dark morning to the courtyard where everyone was waiting. Day 3
Today has been another day jammed pack full of lots of touristy goodness. Amy, Nicole and I again spent the majority of the day walking around London taking in as much as we could. We started off at Madame Tussaud’s, where we spent most of the morning taking photos of ourselves with all the “stars”.
