peeektures and keeeses (metaphysical keeses)

It's been a long time since I've sat down at a computer and thought, "Today is a good day to talk about yourself on the internet." I have been busy busy busy, in good ways, with friends and romance and work. Instead of writing out all the details (I'm out of the habit), I thought I'd share some photos highlighting the last few months.

Back in May, before I moved, I had a Naked Lady Party! We had a competition to see who could produce the most ridiculous outfit from the pile.

And then I went to Moscow, Idaho for a week to the Evolution 2009 conference. We camped in a friend-of-a-friend's backyard and took an afternoon off to hike a local butte.

I spent the longest evening of the year near the Maritime Museum, watching the sunset.

And we were part of Vancouver's Critical Mass in June!

I moved into a new place, and every day I look at my garden and think, wow.

I'm spending a lot of time at the UBC Farm taking care of three field projects (especially now that my field assistant is on vacation).

The new basement apartment is very empty. Lea's going to move in in a few weeks with more furniture, but for now, I am studying the aesthetics of space. Also, I got new glasses.

I am getting very strong riding my bike everywhere (or lifting it onto the bus bike rack instead of riding).

And tonight, I got internet at home!

PS - I'd love this job so much! Except I don't know how I could make it work with the whole grad school thing. And the whole living in Canada thing. And the whole no driver's license thing. Oh well.

vancouver, life is wonderful, photos
