The Specials are coming April 21st to NYC. Oh my.

We left Mexico a week and one day ago and have been on the move ever since.  I keep waiting for the culture shock to happen but I seem to have slid right back into the first world without problem.  Can I just say I LOVE speaking English all the time--effortless conjugation is where it's at.

I called NYC yesterday to get the ball rolling for a speech evaluation for Joey.  The boy just isn't talking.  Is he just a late talker? Does he actually have some sort of delay? Saturday morning we got up early and Chris picked up the rental car and we drove two hours to Ocosingo where we got a hotel room and spent the night.  It turned out our hotel was run by the former employees of this American couple who had opened up a tourist eco-lodge-ranch-macadamia nut-farm that, according to them, was taken over in a land grab ( Read more... )

Lucy graduated from kindergarten today.  She dressed up like an elf and sang a song with her class and played her monochordio:  a single-stringed instrument.  Then she received a flower and a little metal sun.  It was all very cute.

It has been a big two weeks for Lucy.  She had her birthday party, her "clausura" at school which is different than graduation-I'll explain later, her work in an artshow and in two days she is graduating from kindergarten.

The longer I don't post the harder It is to post.  We have a little bit more than three weeks here and the days are flying by.  I feel like I need to catch up on things here on LJ, so I am going to try for the next few weeks to post more frequently--even if it is just to say a few things.
