Currently about to start an assignment which focuses on Animation , within this two animators have to be studied. Ive decided to choose the brothers quay to study. Does anybody know any similar stop motion animators which I could use as a comparison?

In case anyone missed it, Svankmajer's "The Ossuary and Other Tales" was recently released, as well as a dvd of Jiri Barta's work titled "Labyrinth of Darkness". If you haven't seen Barta's work already, I really recommend it, particularly "The Pied Piper of Hamelin" and "The Last Theft" (vampires!), both of which are included in this collection ( Read more... )
