Unfortunately m'dear, that looks like an advice post cloaked with an interactive post tagged on the end, so I'm going to have to say that it's against the Rules. :(

That said, there are a lot of resources online with the sort of information you're seeking. I don't think you'd find an answer in thesovereignty even if you searched.

If you go to your profile and scroll down to LJ User Messaging, you can change your settings there.
